Network Engineer
Que Technology Group, Inc., is seeking a motivated Network Engineer in San Antonio, Texas to support customer requirements. This role provides on-site, hands-on network and hardware support for Texas-based systems while working closely with our Maryland-based engineering teams.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks
- Configures and sustains Cisco and Arista network devices, including supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices
- Provides hands-on support for hardware issues in Texas, as directed by any of our EHSC Teams
- Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents
- Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration
- Schedules conversions and cutovers
- Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents
- Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders
- Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures
- Assists telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in a technical field with at least eight (8) years of experience in roles of similar complexity.
- An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Significant Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience.
- Familiar with LatteArt and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.
- Ability to provide hands-on hardware support on site in Texas.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Maryland.
- Required to be on-call for Operational systems.
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
