REMOTE Contracts Administrator (must live in MD/VA)

Remote, Maryland


Candidate must live within 75 miles of Fort Meade, Maryland.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contracts Administrator to support a pending government contract award. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of prime contract administration, including oversight of more than 15 subcontractors. The selected candidate will ensure full compliance with federal acquisition regulations, coordinate subcontractor activities, and serve as a key liaison between the company, the government customer, and subcontracting partners. 

Remote work with occasional travel to the Baltimore office or government facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage prime contract obligations, ensuring full compliance with all terms, conditions, and applicable federal regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Government Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Coordinate all aspects of subcontractor onboarding, flow-down of contract clauses, deliverables, and compliance tracking.
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute subcontracts, task orders, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and teaming agreements.
  • Track funding status, contract modifications, and total obligated amounts to ensure proper contract ceiling utilization.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready contract files and documentation, in line with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including program managers, finance teams, legal counsel, and executive leadership to ensure contract compliance and program execution.
  • Support proposal development, including reviewing statements of work (SOWs), assisting with pricing inputs, and validating compliance with solicitation requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to updates in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Develop and maintain performance tracking and reporting metrics for subcontractors.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports summarizing contract health, subcontractor compliance status, and financial tracking.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience administering prime government contracts, including oversight of multiple subcontractors.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contract terms, manage contractual risk, and interpret complex government contract language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with contract lifecycle management software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) through the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
  • Experience working with classified contracts, including knowledge of handling Government-Furnished Information (GFI) and Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Familiarity with various contract types, including Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Time-and-Materials (T&M), and Cost-Reimbursement.
  • Prior experience working for a prime contractor supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence community, or other federal agencies.
