JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Budget / Finance / Procurement Administrator performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Participates in the preparation of budgets for the program
- Performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles and variance analysis
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Have extensive experience with spreadsheet tools, i.e., MS Excel
- Have a thorough understanding of the customer’s budget planning and contracts processes, and make budgetary recommendations
- Work with the customer, Contract Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager to estimate, propose, develop, track and implement the budget for the program based on customer direction
- Detail oriented and meticulous in the development, tracking and reporting of budget related items
- Have significant experience with presentation and word processing software to integrate tables and graphics into presentations and reports
- Conduct research to develop pricing estimates for software and hardware to include obtaining quotes from multiple vendors
- Maintain correspondence suspense files, records, files for reports, operating procedures, internal memorandums, and composes correspondence
- Self-directing and self-paced, completes tasks without direction
EDUCATION:
- Master of Science degree with (3) three years of professional experience
- Bachelor of Science degree, or vendor/professional certification with a minimum of (6) six years of professional experience
- No degree with a minimum of nine years of professional experience
